    OSI is committed to consumer protection and to the deterrence and prosecution of insurance fraud.

OSI enforces laws passed by the state legislature and follows federal rules, licenses insurers, reviews and approves rate filings, and takes enforcement actions when laws are violated. OSI strives to ensure that these companies have a proven history of fair and reasonable rates and are represented by trustworthy and qualified agents.

Pursuant to NMSA 59A-16C-14 the Insurance Fraud Fund was created to fund the expenses incurred in carrying out the provision of the Insurance Fraud Act.   

When and Where to Pay

The 2025 Fraud Assessments are now available for filings through OPTins. Please make sure when you are making your filing, you select 2025.
