September 4, 2024 Announcements LINK TO NEW INSURANCE FRAUD FEE PORTAL WILL BE POSTED SEPTEMBER 12, 2024 The New Mexico Office of Superintendent of Insurance (OSI) will begin collecting the Insurance Fraud Fee through OPTins, a program offered by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners. A link to New Mexico’s OPTins page will be posted on OSI’s website on September 12, 2024. Due to the delay in the publication of the link, the late fee for submitting the Insurance Fraud Fee has been extended to November 1, 2024. We thank carriers for their patience as OSI takes active measures to make the collection process more transparent and operationally efficient. June 22, 2026 Bulletins MEDICAL MALPRACTICE PREMIUM REDUCTION BULLETIN 2026-010: The New Mexico State Legislature appropriated $5 million to the New Mexico Office of Superintendent of Insurance (OSI) to address medical malpractice insurance costs for individual providers. The appropriation was part of a supplemental appropriation package passed in 2025.
