• Report Insurance Fraud in New Mexico

What is Insurance Fraud?

The willful abuse of an insurance policy for financial gain. Fraud is an intentional act and is illegal.

The OSI Insurance Fraud & law Enforcement Division is a unique department that combines the criminal investigative powers of a law enforcement organization with the protective role of a regulatory agency. As a fully accredited law enforcement agency of the state of New Mexico, OSI agents have full authority to investigate, arrest, and prosecute criminals who commit insurance fraud. While that might sound like an unusual combination, it is precisely this dual capability that makes OSI effective in its core mission: ensuring New Mexicans have access to reliable insurance products while safeguarding them from fraud and unfair practices.

We want to get your information to the right team so we can help you as quickly as possible. Please review our guidance for when it’s best to file a complaint and when it’s best to report insurance fraud.
