December 5, 2022 News Releases OSI APPROVES DECREASE IN WORKERS’ COMPENSATION LOSS COSTS The Office of Superintendent of Insurance (OSI) has recently approved a rate proposal submitted by the National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) that will reduce voluntary workers’ compensation loss costs by an average of 10.7 percent, to become effective for policies renewing on or after January 1, 2023. June 22, 2026 Bulletins MEDICAL MALPRACTICE PREMIUM REDUCTION BULLETIN 2026-010: The New Mexico State Legislature appropriated $5 million to the New Mexico Office of Superintendent of Insurance (OSI) to address medical malpractice insurance costs for individual providers. The appropriation was part of a supplemental appropriation package passed in 2025.
